The National Dental Examining Board of Canada's examination-dates page lists the next NDECC evaluation period as 4 January to 11 March 2027. Registration opens on 8 September 2026 at 10:00 ET and closes on 20 October 2026 at 21:00 ET. Registration for the two earlier 2026 evaluation periods — 22 June to 10 September and 28 September to 26 November — is closed. The NDECC is administered in Ottawa; under the NDEB fee schedule in effect since 1 July 2025, the full examination costs CAD 6,500 and a single-component retake costs CAD 3,250.
The NDECC is not part of the two-period registration system the NDEB announced on 13 August 2026. That system, effective 1 September, covers the AFK, the ACJ and the Virtual OSCE: a first registration period closes when locations fill, and a second opens about six to eight weeks before the exam for seats freed by withdrawals or added capacity.
On the same calendar, registration for the 5 February 2027 AFK in Canada opens 15 September, and the 6 February sitting in Australia and New Zealand opens 22 September — both with a 15 December deadline. Registration for the 9 and 10 November 2026 ACJ sittings and the 23 November Virtual OSCE is open now, with deadlines of 7 October and 26 October respectively. The board also lists a 4 May 2027 ACJ sitting for United States and Canada locations, with registration from 8 December 2026.
