The NDEB states, in a Special Notice on its examination dates and locations page, that additional seats for the November 2026 Assessment of Clinical Judgement opened on 23 September 2026 at 10:00 ET. Both November sittings — Canada on 9 November 2026 and Australia and New Zealand on 10 November 2026 — are shown on that page as open for registration, each with a registration deadline of 7 October 2026 at 21:00 ET.
The release falls in the second registration period the NDEB introduced on 1 September 2026. Under the change the NDEB announced on 13 August 2026, registration for the ACJ, the Assessment of Fundamental Knowledge and the Virtual OSCE runs in two periods: a first period that closes once all locations are full, and a second period opening roughly six to eight weeks before the examination, in which candidates may register or transfer into seats freed by withdrawals or by added capacity. The NDEB states that transfers between examination locations are possible only while a registration period is open, and not between the two periods.
Registration is a three-step process on the NDEB's own account of it. The candidate registers and pays inside the NDEB online profile; the NDEB then emails instructions for scheduling seat time only after the registration deadline has passed; the candidate then books the seat at Prometric. Paying the NDEB therefore does not by itself settle a seat or a venue — the venue is chosen at Prometric, after the deadline. The NDEB states that withdrawing before the registration deadline costs 50% of the fee and withdrawing after it costs the full fee, with 25% for serious medical or unanticipated exceptional circumstances; the ACJ page states that the examination may be taken a maximum of three times.
That sequence carries a specific exposure for candidates in Iran. Prometric's U.S. Foreign Policy Compliance Statement, stated current as of 24 September 2026, sets four conditions that must all be met before Prometric may test a citizen of Iran outside Iran — place of testing, the address on current identification, the origin of payment and the destination of results must each be outside Iran. Because the NDEB's fee is taken at registration and becomes non-refundable at the deadline, while the Prometric booking step comes afterwards, a candidate whose circumstances fail one of those conditions can pay first and find out second. The conditions are set out in full in US-10.
